The Transmission "HiatusCast"
posted 9 years, 9 months ago. by Audibly Lost to Books, Lost, Lost Mind Games, Podcast, The Transmission

The Transmission podcast I posted about last week is up. Ryan and Jen take on many Lost theories, but even better the podcast is littered from music by many Lost podcasters and musicians. Enjoy this podcast, as it’s one of the few you’ll be getting between now and April 24th when Lost returns. As many recent podcasts have done, this one includes some talk about Lost Mind Games (see sidebar) and another interview with Anne Dawson. Also they are having a contest for a free copy of the book.

Stephen King’s "Carrie" compared to "Lost"
posted 9 years, 9 months ago. by Audibly Lost to A Tale of Two Cities, Books, Carrie, Juliet, Lost Community, Lost Mind Games, Podcast

The Lost Community Book Club is back, while The Lost Community Podcast takes hiatus. This week they’ve reviewed and compared Stephen King’s Carrie to Lost. In addition to discussing the Stephen King novel, David chats with another author, Anne Dawson. Anne is the author of Lost Mind Games, who I posted an interview with from The Cranky Fanatic Podcast’s Lost Jeopardy edition. This is a great interview with Anne and I must say I’m now tempted to actually go out and but this thing… or order it online since apparently it’s only available on Amazon at the moment (Barnes & Noble and Borders get with the times!)

If you aren’t planning on reading the book, but are curious as to the significance of Carrie and how it ties into Lost, then you may find this podcast beneficial. Given the role the book played in the Season 3 opener, A Tale Of Two Cities, there may be a lot to draw from Carrie and how it could relate to Juliet (and Walt?) David and Melissa (the podcast hosts) also discuss the TV and film versions of Carrie.

Lost Jeopardy
posted 9 years, 9 months ago. by Audibly Lost to Books, Cranky Fanatic, Jeopardy, Lost Mind Games, Podcast

Cranky Fanatic is a great Lost podcast. Other than The Lost Initiative (the SkyOne podcast) and The Official Lost Podcast it’s my favorite. Season 4’s podcasts have been good, but this one takes the cake by far. This is Lost Jeopardy. I don’t think there is really much for me to say. This is also the episode where the Cookie Monster A.K.A. Anne Dawson (author of Lost Mind Games) interview I posted last week came from. The episode title and content speaks for itself. Good stuff and I’m looking forward to more of this in the weeks to come.
